Benin City is a British band based in London named after a Nigerian state capital. The three-piece is comprised of vocalist and poet Joshua Idehen, vocalist Shanaz Dorsett with multi-instrumentalist Tom Leaper.

Idehen met Theo Buckingham at a squat party. They struck up a loud friendship and decided to make more organised noises together. They drafted in Leaper to arrange their babble into music.

So far they have supported bands such as Fool’s Gold, Tinashe, Yungun, Sound of Rum and Kid British. Read more on Last.fm
